Question:
Why do Republicans still undermine covid? Dear leader Trump isn't even president anymore?
2021-02-08 15:34:03 UTC
By undermining covid, you are admitting that Biden is doing a good job of stopping it.

When you undermine the virus now, you are giving Biden (not Trump) credit. You are letting BIDEN off the hook fore his handling of the pandemic.

When you prematurely open the economy, you are making Biden's not TRUMP's economy better.

Idiot Trump supporters. They don't even know when to undermine a virus and when not to.

He isn't LEGALLY president any more, but he is still "president in their hearts" and hang on his every word, sort of like Mormons who say (these exact words)  "I believe this to be true".

They can’t understand something so they don’t accept it. They did understand Donald Trump since he was a hate monger just like them.

Okay. The virus does not recognize your political affiliation. Lets get that straight.

I'm a former resident of California. Regardless of political affiliation, people of both sides don't adhere to the restrictions regardless of masks or social distancing.

Regarding Hawaii... I live here.  Law enforcement doesn't do sh-t when dealing with those who violate masks or quarantine orders. The only reason why the infections is so low is due to the fact we are an isolated island system.

You think the Democrats is all up and up? Lets also talk about the rampant corruption in the one-party Democratic state of Hawaii.  How about that Obama has no care about how his special place is causing beach erosion..

Stop deifying your politicians and political party.

For the record, I am not pro-Trump. I am pro-McMullin.

A few facts I want to point out about this:

NH wasn't always Democratic. In fact, for most of the time I was growing up, it was staunchly Republican and therefore was red. It's only within the past decade or so that the power balance has shifted and it has turned blue. And your comment about blue states being hit harder because they have more Asian and European populations is pure BS. It's NOT SUPPORTED by any legitimate science that I am aware of. The corona virus DOES disproportionately affect minority groups, including African Americans and Latinos, who are concentrated in a lot of the blue states.

America is a MELTING POT. All of these states which you claim have no "European or Asian" populations do in fact have them. It's just that in most cases the people in question are of European or Asian ancestry, and their ancestors were the original immigrants. America's strength lies in her diversity, which is something that our previous ego maniacal president never could understand. The more diverse we are as a people and as a nation, the better able we are to meet and withstand challenges like those posed by the pandemic. I myself am of European descent- I'm German and French-Irish on one side of my family and a mix of German, English, Irish, and French Canadian on the other. And I have been completely asymptomatic for nearly a YEAR now, without a vaccine. It's highly unlikely that I will even get COVID-19, in fact, because I associate with only a few people at any one time, and I've been repeatedly tested every week for months now. I spend most of my time ALONE, and that is what protects me. COVID-19 is a CONTACT disease, just like the flu and the common cold are contact diseases. If you avoid being around other people, whether symptomatic or not, you will AVOID the illness. I learned that lesson long ago, and I live by it now.  For you to claim that I will somehow spread the virus just because of my ancestry is ludicrous.

The biggest reason why the US leads the world in terms of the number of dead is because of Trump's behavior while he was in the White House. I have never seen a US president that had and has more BLOOD on his hands than Trump does.

We CAN'T REOPEN ANYTHING until we get this virus under control. PERIOD. Biden is correct about that, and always has been. And the scientists supporting him are correct too. It's wonderful to see someone in the Oval Office who is finally willing to LISTEN to them for a change. I'm not going to speak to whether Biden has done a good job or not, because he hasn't held office long enough for me to be able to make any comment about that. I do wish that the Trumpsters would STFU, though. They are the ones who GOT US into this mess.

I don't buy into your logic at all... that having 4 red states, the GOP must be doing a bad job...But I'll go with it.

If 4 out of the top 10 states are Republican, that would mean 6 out of the top top states are democrat...

Considering that only 18 states are Blue, that would mean that the Democrats are excessively over represented.

By probability it should be: 4 blue states and 6 red.

But based on your logic the Democrats are doing the WORST job:

New Jersey has the 32nd most cases per capita and the MOST deaths per capita

New York has the 35th most cases per capita and the 2nd most deaths per capita

On the flip side, North Dakota has the most cases per capita and is 10th in number of deaths.

Prematurely open the country?  Have you seen California lately?

-- The homeless population is likely 3X as it was at this time in 2019 and that WITH continuing to expand rent moratoriums.

Emergency calls for mental health services (i.e. 9-1-1) has gone from 2,000 per week to 5,000.  Do you think that's just coincidence?

Do you thinks it coincidence that the Los Angeles Unified School District has a fail rate of over 50% for online high school??

Disney Florida has been open for SIX MONTHS without a single case of covid transmission attributed to the parks and yet, the California parks sit closed with 60,000 people out of work.

-- this isn't high schoolers who work ride and sell sodas... it's people making $100,000+ with families to support.  $455 a week in unemployment (the max in CA) doesn't go very far when you have a $3000 mortgage.I don't need a babysitter... i know how germs transmit.  Even my 4yo niece does.In response to the comments:Again, I don't think your logic on using worldometers data shows who is doing good and who is doing bad... but if you insist on using bad logic....

The states with the lowest per capita cases are also the states that are the most rural... California has the most actual cases, yet there are counties with no cases in the middle of nowhere.

USC/UCLA/Stanford have research studies (separate studies) that show covid likely came to California in early October.  They believe California was the entrance point because we have the most travel between Wuhan and the USA.  This was 3 months prior to WHO notifying the President.

-- but the spreading didn't happen to people related to China/Europe.  Look at the first cases attributed to covid in the state = they are attributed to a bus trip with no immigrants on it.

** By the way, this means that "actual doctors" were misdiagnosing covid for 3 months.as "just" the flu or pneumonia.

Trump was all of our President not just "mine".  Just like Biden.  I wish that neither were anyone's Presidents.  It's too bad that these are the only types of people who want the job.

Biden I'm not going to raise taxes?? Really, because your DNC led Congress doesn't seem to realize that with the number of tax increases that has already been introduced in only 18 days.

Other nations that have shut down:

1. are significantly smaller... Oh, we can't because that would like comparing, they have as many people as Kentucky

2. these countries are very homogeneous, not diverse.

There is no country that compares to the USA on this journey-- China & India have much greater size, but not the travel or the diversity.

-- any one that has the diversity doesn't have remotely the population size.

Oh boy... look at Australia... few cases and their economy is still dead...

Gosh, that travel dollar does mean something....

You can't be so stupid as to think that Democrat Talking Point was well thought out.  Are you that dense? lol Undermine covid. What a stupid thing. Why don't you undermine cancer? Stop sitting on your asss and undermine Climate Change? Huh?

All the states with the highest incident rates are liberal states.
2021-02-08 15:37:16 UTC
See: https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/us/

4/10 of the states with the most covid deaths per caita are Republican. These include north/south dokoda, Missippi and Louisiana. 1 is independent (Arizona)Overall the USA ranks 10th in covid deaths per capita. Political party has nothing to do with it. Trump messed up and its hurting ALL Americans, from red states to blue states. Black to white etc.
2021-02-08 15:34:51 UTC
The majority of states with the highest covid death rates are blue and opposed to Trump.
