I think I have Aids or Hiv, because somebody poked me with a needle, but I am not sure if it got into my skin.

Question

I am not sure If I have aids or hiv, because somebody had a needle and kind of poked me on the arm with it, but I had 2 layers of clothes on, and I am not sure if it went through my skin, or if it came in contact with my blood. And I know that needle had come in contact with their blood. Would it of had to of drawn blood for it to go through my skin? I am not sure at all. PLEASE help me. Thank You.

The best thing to do as soon as you can is to go get tested and keep a regular check up on it,I truely hope and pray that you will be fine because if there is one thing that I hate the most is to see someone suffering and knowing that I can't do anything for them other than pray for them.

You should get tested because if you don't have hiv it will put your mind at ease. If you have it you can get treated. To get hiv though, the person whose blood was on the needle would have to be infected with hiv/aids. Just getting someone's blood in you would do nothing if they aren't infected. Probably the needle did not even break your skin and if it didn't and you did not have an open sore, you don't need to worry about it.

The best thing u can do is go to ur doctor and get tested. they will then set up testing every 3mos. then every 6mos.

then yrly. A little girl I know is going through this same thing. It is scary, and I am hoping for your sake you don't have. Does the person who stuck u have it? Or do u know?

You would know if the needle punctured the skin or not, but for your own piece of mind consult your doctor. And in the future be very careful with any type of needle...

Yes it would have had to have broken your skin to do you any harm,I think you would have known.what are you doing playing around with this sort of person.If you are worried and can see a mark where the needle went get checked out.

Visit your local STD clinic and get tested. They test HIV for free. And never hang around with these friends.

i think that they where just playing with your head! but you sould go to the doctor if you dont want any body to know about it they have lots of places you can go for free look up in the yellow pages good luck!
