You can spread mono by sharing drinks, but alcohol kills some viruses. So can alcohol kill the mono virus? Once the virus is in the body, I know drinking alcohol can damage the liver. But I don't know about whether one can contract mono by drinking out of the same whiskey bottle as a person with mono.

Mono travels in saliva, I don't think alcohol will kill it, but it definitely destroys your liver and alcohol can make you fat. Its all empty calories. But anyways you can get mono from sharing alot of things, even taking a drag of someone else's smoke can give you mono.

I wouldn't risk it. Pour it in a separate glass or flask. Believe me, you do not want to have anything to do with mono, it sucks.

Still contagious and transmissible and the alcohol in beer and most liquor is not going to kill any germs so beware.
